Malvachimica - Depends on the day ***
Three elements make up the Malvachimica. Three teens from the Tuscan province at its debut with the ep depends on the day. A watercolor in brilliant colors, suspended between hope and truth. Five snapshots sung with grit and talent, "real" songs and "feel" not to pass up. It starts with Malcomune that immediately reminded me of the Dropkick Murphys, then continue to speak with larks , Melancholy and yearning, with a nice guitar crescendo, then continue with Vineyards , almost folk, with a text govanile, a very cool pop song. Then Uncle of America, turn toward rock sound and darker. Finally Island , very rhythmic, it reminded me of something like Heroes del silencio or fear. Really interesting this debut Malvachimica mixes genres with a good dose of originality. Marco Colombo

prolific damage Emblem published the fourth disc in four years. This time, choose tracks in English, half way between alternative trends and vintage flavors. This is a rock album tendelzialmente wink to the legendary seventies but still retains its original background. To detect the massive wall of sound guitars, although in some passages there are more episodes easylistening and catchy. Among my favorite pieces Trashing smashing and A step ahead. Marco Colombo
is the new side project of Leo Pari and Renzo Fiaschetti, a recorded almost entirely in taken diretta tra Los Angeles e Roma. Mirror Man - Stars of rust **
Leonardo (vocals, guitar), Luke (drums), Paul (bass) and Stephen (harmonica) formed the Mirror Man, a band featuring sounds that draw on the group's own admission with references ranging from Tom Waits to Tim Burton, from Kurt Weil to David Bowie to Nick Cave. The lyrics are in Italian, however. Thin, antivirtuosistica, the music of Mirror Man would be full of feeling, signs of disseminated Expressionists extracted from the cylinder of a tragic comedian. So are defined in the explanatory note, description, some of which share listening to the record, the third band. The texts deal with different themes: loneliness, separation, love, death, the dream ... They deserve a listen, while not shining in the list of my personal liking. Marco Colombo

The business card of Bologna Vanderlei is certainly, as regards their work this out on October 22 last year , the artistic production of System Of A Down. The incorrect out two years of the first work, the ep 1234. It 's a very special album and original rock sound and suspended between post-rock. At times dark and difficult play, is certainly something research in the Italian indie scene. Consisting of nine songs that bounce between love games, exaltation of the senses and conscious weakness. "An album deliberately timeless music and fashion" - as stated in a footnote - that sets the tone for a new and (possibly) promising career. Personally I really liked Painters, exciting and intense doubt Blessed with a very beautiful guitar both as a "party" as that sounds, this song reminded me of the first Liftiba. Marco Colombo
Daniele Fortunato - Eyes closed ***
strange cases of life: listening to hundreds of CDs by artists all over for Italy and I do not notice good local artists. It 's the case of Daniele Fortunato overheard in Novara a cold evening in December. And it was love at first sight as Daniel, with his acoustic guitar and his high-pitched voice, he pulled a three-piece the best. So here I have taken care of his ep acquistareil Eyes closed. The play has confirmed to me the emotions of quellaserata. Music is suspended between the pop-rock piece Voices, with a nice shot and culminating in a romantic text phrase: "... at night I hold your hands high, only to pensierto you, you know how cold is it, I'll call you tomorrow if you like, where are you .... Where are you ...". It continues with the beautiful With closed eyes, with a soft piano and the voice of Daniel that is more intimate to tell "if you can love with your eyes closed, you can still love you a little'..."; continues with 'll see, very smart and light, those songs that make the story sound Fortunato and love, they talk about most of the texts, its tenets. Finally, the closing track, which is also my favorite, The cry of known, frightfully intimate and romantic. A beautiful discovery that the three deserves cantatuore Novara *. Marco Colombo
