Sleepdriver - Frozen Fireworks in a star lit sky ***
Mario Mastroianni, aka Sleepdriver, this sends us his work entitled Frozen Fireworks in a star lit sky , a double CD. Mario is 26 years old and is in Rome and sounds as we read in his presentation of the new wave / progressive with a touch of jazz and classical music here and there, mainly inspired by David Bowie, David Sylvian, Alphaville, Duran Duran, The Associates and many more ... Listening to the double CD actually feel all these influences.
Despite the limitations of self, this record is enjoyable results, being too fond of a new wave of music and 80's. Among the pieces that I liked best Spread the word, and The cyborg The world is on fire. Hoping for a future production that could give more attention to the music of Sleepdriver, we can not do nothing but compliments to give Mario and three *. Marco Colombo
Acids - Anna Rose ep * ep This consists of a couple of songs sounding punk rock with references to the sixties and seventies. Discounted texts such as "you are beautiful but dangerous, you know, stings like a rose ... let me do it, I will plant it, if I will not hurt "... more a" oh yeah "to lose by just a pip at this ep. The press release reads that the live is the best size of the group, which also offer some cover as a girl in two of the Giants. I hope to have many friends who never tire of it will come to listen. r.co. / mc
Underground Railroad - Moving the Mountain ***
The Underground Railroad have certainly learned well the lesson of 70 years of rock Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple. Through the usual power trio consisting of guitar, bass and drums that we propinano roaring psychedelic rock of those years. Belli guitar riffs and also in the ballad Moving the mountain remained faithful to the style and sound. Even
alternative tests, as we read in their bio, "knee-jerk reactions to the surrounding reality thrown in the face with violence, more reflective moments in which the eye turns to the internal and personal reality." 12 tracks so steeped in that rock-blues that infuses even I love you so I can not appreciate. Codeine - Quore ** Original and fun presentation of codeine that accompanies the CD Quore first work of the Band. Matteo Galimberti (vocals, guitar), Emmanuel Delfanti (bass and vocals) and Emiliano Maggioni (drums) come from Arcore. Their record certainly reflects influences of grunge and hard rock, but I did not fully convinced as draws with both hands to sound too inflated, especially metal rock. The creativity did not seem the best, except in the echo song, very original, it reminded me of something I hope Verdena and that is the way that codeine will travel to get away from that current metal-rock that does not personally believe for them. Gesamtkunstwerk - Held der Arbeit
listening to this ep we imbattutti gkw of the classic 80's electronic pop electro-stakes modern. Among their references there are more coming bands like Air, Radiohead and Broken socila scenes. I'm not personally a fan nor an expert nor electro pop, and then I will refrain from giving a vote to the disk. Listening to you.
Among the songs I really liked the shit lu brain very danceable, his voice distorted style Subsonica. mc
